HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SERVICE
We recommend that you schedule appointments six weeks in advance to be sure you get the date you need. Multiple appointments are encouraged and always try to schedule your appointments before leaving your previous service.

SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR BEFORE COLORING OR UPDO?
No. Washing the hair strips away its natural oils. When adding color or creating an Updo, the natural oils in the hair give it better holding properties and make it easier to work with. 

HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP?
Tipping for service at a salon is typically handled as you would tip for service in a restaurant. Generally 15-20% of the total service is appropriate, depending upon how you feel the quality of service was. 

DO YOU SERVICE MEN?
Yes. In today's world, men are as fashion-conscious as women and deserve a quality experience. Men can and have experienced all of our services, ranging from haircuts, hair color, and manicures to stress-relieving treatments. Many men also visit us to purchase Salon Nouveaux Gift Certificates for their loved ones.

ARE SALON NOUVEAUX GIFT CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE? 
Yes. Salon Nouveaux Gift Certificates are available in any dollar amount starting at $25 and are redeemable for products, services or both. Salon Nouveaux Gift Certicates are not valid at other Aveda concept salons.

DO YOU OFFER FULL DAY SPA PACKAGES?
All of our salon and spa services are offered primarily a la carte rather than in packages so you may choose those services that interest you most. A Salon Nouveaux employee can help you book several appointments together for a full or half day experience and also recommend services that work well together. . 

MY FAVORITE SERVICE PROVIDER IS ALWAYS  BOOKED, HOW LONG IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE? 
Many of our most popular service providers are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientele. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite provider, simply schedule it before leaving the salon. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you. 

WHAT DO I WEAR DURING A BIKINI WAX?
We do provide disposable undergarments to prevent your undergarments from getting wax on them. It is your choice if you would like to wear the disposables or not.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO WAX?
When waxing for the first time you must have at least ¼ inch of hair growth. DO NOT SHAVE for two weeks prior to your waxing appointment. While everyone is different, generally every 4 to 6 weeks is the average time. 

IS IT REALLY NECESSARY FOR ME TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCTS THAT THE STYLIST PRESCRIBED FOR ME?
It is if you would like your hair to look and feel as good as it does when you leave the Salon. It will be difficult to duplicate the same look as your Stylist without  having the proper tools and products available at home. 

WHEN SHOULD I PRESENT MY GIFT CERTIFICATE? 
If you are a proud owner of a Salon Nouveaux Gift Certificate, please present this at the reception desk. Please pay attention to the expiration date and the other policies pertaining to the Gift Certificate. Gratuities are not included on Gift Certificates.
